Scraping Drums, Top Drum Static
The MITCHELL dehairing machine mode 250D is designed to provide mechanised dehairing facilities for the medium to large sized abattoir. This robust model is capable of cleaning over 250 pigs / hour. The latest revision to the model 250D is equipped with 2 lower rotating cylinders with fixed scrapers and one upper polishing shaft, having flexible beaters which lifts to eject the pig. The reinforced frame is manufactured from 3CR12 stainless steel and mild steel galvanized and incorporates folded plate and channel construction in the design, combining strength and cleanliness. The 5.5kw motor driving through a worm gearbox and high quality chain reductions is mounted above the machine to save floor space. The loading cradle and ejection roller are operated by a hydraulic system controlled by two levers mounted at the front of the machine or by electrical push button control. The hydraulic pump is powered by its own 7.5kw drive and located above the machine.
Independent control permits the pigs to remain in the machine for varying times, but a fixed cycle mechanism can be supplied if required. A hot water spray complete with solenoid is provided in the scraping chamber.
