Description

A heavy-duty automatic casing cleaning machine built for high-throughput meat-processing operations. Capable of handling 350–450 pork or lamb casings per hour (100+ beef), it uses 1200 mm rollers and geared feeding to streamline emptying and cleaning with minimal operator input. Stainless steel construction, CE certification, and 400 V three-phase power ensure reliability for abattoirs, smallgoods manufacturers, and processors across Australia.

Operation

Pulling wheel machines are typically used to assist separation, reduce operator fatigue, and improve production efficiency.

The operator begins by separating the end of the runner while holding the blade of the separating knife adjacent to the mesentery, the membrane that attaches the runner to the viscera. After approximately 2 metres have been separated in this manner, the runner is flipped onto the grooved surface of the pulling wheel machine while separation continues, allowing the knife to cut the mesentery as the runner passes through.

The pulling wheel should be positioned so that the separated runner is deposited onto the receiving tray beside the infeed conveyor of the manure stripping machine. After approximately half of the runner has been separated, the operator moves the runner, as it leaves the pulling wheel, across the AMS machine infeed conveyor. This feeds the runner into the machine and initiates the cleaning process.

Important: The runner must be fed into the machine at the midpoint of its length. This is necessary to ensure an equal amount of manure and mucus is extruded from each end.

Once the runner is placed on the infeed conveyor, the feeding and cleaning process becomes automatic. The machine, through the action of the rubber-covered rollers, extrudes the waste content from inside the runner.
